Privacy Policy
The short version: Locked Pages collects zero personal data. All encryption happens locally on your device. We do not have access to your files, your passwords, or any information about you.
01 Who We Are
Locked Pages is a mobile application developed and operated by LPAGESAPPLABS S.R.L., Strada Dorneasca nr. 13, Sector 5, Bucharest, Romania — company number (CUI) 55256589, Trade Register J2026045387001. The company is the data controller for this application. We provide a local, on-device file encryption tool for Android, with iOS planned.

02 Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your name, email address, or any account information
- The files you encrypt or decrypt
- Your passwords or encryption keys
- Your device identifiers or IP address
- Location data of any kind
- Usage statistics, analytics, or behavioral data
- Any biometric data (fingerprint or face recognition)
Zero-Knowledge Architecture
All cryptographic operations are performed entirely on your device. No data ever leaves your device as part of the app's core functionality.
03 How the App Works
- Your file is processed entirely in local device memory
- Your password is used locally to derive an encryption key via Argon2id (memory-hard KDF, 64 MB RAM, 3 iterations)
- The encrypted output is saved to your device storage
- No network connection is made during encryption or decryption
- The app functions fully offline — no server communication required
04 Third-Party Services
Locked Pages does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The app is distributed via Apple App Store and Google Play, which have their own privacy policies.

05 Biometric Authentication
If you enable biometric unlocking, this is handled entirely by your device OS. Locked Pages never accesses, stores, or transmits your biometric data. We only receive a boolean confirmation that authentication succeeded.
06 Children's Privacy
Locked Pages is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you are under 18, do not use this application. Contact us immediately if you believe a minor has used the application.
Why 18+ and not 13+ like our other products: Locked Pages derives your encryption key from your password alone, and we hold no copy of your files, your key, or your password. That is the point of the design — but it means a forgotten password is permanent, unrecoverable data loss, with no reset, no support override and no account recovery of any kind. There is also no parental oversight mechanism. We judge that consequence inappropriate to place on a minor, so the age floor here is deliberately higher than the 13+ that applies to our games and other apps.
07 Data Security
Since we collect no data on our servers, there is no personal data at risk from our end. The security of your files rests on the strength of your password and AES-256 GCM encryption.
If you forget or lose your password, your encrypted files are permanently and irreversibly inaccessible. There is no password recovery, no master key, no backdoor, and no reset mechanism — by design.
08 User Acknowledgment
By installing and using Locked Pages, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that:
- You understand that forgotten passwords result in permanent, unrecoverable data loss
- You are solely responsible for remembering your passwords and maintaining backups of your files
- LPAGESAPPLABS S.R.L. has no access to your files, passwords, or encryption keys
- To the extent the law allows, LPAGESAPPLABS S.R.L. is not liable for data loss caused by a forgotten or lost password
- You use the application entirely at your own risk
- You have read and understood this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use
Before You Install
This notice tells you what the app does with your data; it is not something you have to agree to. The Terms of Use are the agreement, and the password-loss risk above is part of them. If you do not accept that risk, do not install or use the application.
09 Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. However, we respect your rights under GDPR and CCPA. You may contact us to exercise:
- Right to access — know what data we hold (none)
- Right to erasure — request deletion of personal data
- Right to portability — receive a copy of your data
- Right to object — opt out of any data processing
10 Governing Law & EU Consumer Rights
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Romania (EU), without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence. If you are an EU resident, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
If we cannot resolve a dispute with you directly, you can contact the consumer protection authority in your country of residence; in Romania that is the Autoritatea Națională pentru Protecția Consumatorilor (ANPC).
11 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the application or applicable law. When we do, we will update the effective date above.
